In 2015 the Margaret (Peg) Berguson Memorial Trophy was established to honor the life of former Wellsboro Spanish teach Mrs. Margaret Berguson by students from Wellsboro and North Penn-Mansfield High Schools. Mrs. Berguson was a strong supporter of both Wellsboro and North Penn-Mansfield athletic programs, especially basketball. While teaching in Wellsboro, Mrs. Berguson's sons attended Mansfield High School and were part of their athletic programs, including basketball.
