Coaching Bio

Coach Doughtie is in his third season as the JV Boys Basketball coach. Coach Doughtie is originally from Parkesburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from Octorara Area High School in 1991. He played basketball and baseball while at Octorara. Ron was the assistant coach for the Middle School Boys Basketball team last year.

After high school, Coach Doughtie attended Shippensburg University where he received a degree in English in 1995. He then attended Penn state University where he received a degree in Forest Management in 2003.

Coach Doughtie currently works as a management forester for the Pennsylvania DCNR Bureau of Forestry out of the Tioga State Forest. He lives in Wellsboro with his wife, Tracy and three boys Peyton, RJ, and James.
