Lady Hornets fall to Williamsport.
 

A 33-14 second half run by Williamsport ended in a 50-27 loss for the Wellsboro Varsity Girls Basketball team on Friday, February 26.

It was the girls' final regular season game.

The Lady Hornets kept things close early on, trailing 9-6 after the first quarter and 17-13 at halftime, but a 16-point third quarter and a 17-point fourth quarter were the difference for the Lady Millionaires.

Junior Emma Coolidge led the Lady Hornets with 17 points, senior Bailey Monks had 4, and senior Sarah Mosher, junior Abbye Cavanaugh, and sophomore Rylie Boyce all added 2 points each.

Williamsport won the JV game 32-9. Sophomore Alyssa Bisbing led Wellsboro with 4 points. The JV team finishes their season at 2-11.

The loss drops the Lady Hornets' to 6-8 overall and they finish with a 5-7 record in the NTL Large School Division.
