The North Penn-Mansfield boys won their preliminary game in the PIAA Tournament 72-59 over North Star on Tuesday night.
NP-Mansfield trailed 34-27 at the half and were down as many as 11 points in the first half on Tuesday.
Brent Burleigh led NPM with a career-high 26 points. Burleigh had 14 points in the third quarter when the Tigers outscored North Star 28-5 to take over the game.
Dylan Meyer had 17 points for the Tigers and Nick Kasper had 11 points.
Garrett David finished with 10 points for North Penn-Mansfield and Jayden Andrews had five points, while Sawyer Freeman finished with three points.
Meyer had a double-double, adding 16 rebounds, and David also had a double-double, adding 11 boards.
Burleigh had nine rebounds and three assists, with two steals.
Andrews had five steals, five assists and three rebounds and Kasper had three steals and two assists.
Meyer added two steals.
Andy Zuchelli led North Star with 19 points and Luke Schrock finished with 16 points.
